Give the gift of poetry this year in addition to that cheesy greeting card.
Every year, as May approaches, we find ourselves trying to find the perfect gift to show our Mother’s just how much we love and appreciate them. Sometimes, a bouquet of flowers or an edible arrangement doesn’t quite say what you want it to.
Finding the words to say exactly how you feel seems to be a challenge every year. How many times can you thank your mom for “always being there,” or “raising me to be so strong?” We’re so thankful for a motherly figure, greeting card sayings don’t quite hit the mark. Let us help a little.
This year, why not share one of your passions with mom. We’ve collected a few Mother’s Day poems that are unique to share. Perhaps you can find exactly what you want to say in this verse, or are inspired to write your own.
Who knows, maybe you’ll find that you and mom both love a good Rupi Kaur, Sylvia Plath, or Nayyirah Warheed poem.
