No, you’re not going crazy.

It’s just eclipse season!

We’ve chatted before about the power of eclipses. But I think we can all agree this month has felt…different. So let’s dig into the Astrology and the eclipse.

Wondering why? As always, it’s the Moon.

This October, we’re faced with not one, but two of these powerful celestial events. So naturally, you can expect twice as many radical realizations, fated endings and divinely timed new beginnings…if you’re willing to surrender.

So What Do These Eclipses Mean?

Technically:

Our first eclipse was an annular eclipse on October 14th. This type of eclipse occurs when the moon is at its furthest point from Earth, causing it to look like a smaller disc as it blocks the Sun, leaving a small ring of light around it.

The second eclipse was a partial eclipse on October 28th. During which, the Earth slides in between the Sun and the Moon. But its misalignment causes only part of the Moon’s surface to be visible to us watching from Earth.

Astrologically:

Our first eclipse was in the sign of balance, justice and divine law– Libra. You have this eclipse to thank for any and all karmic fates that fell into place over the past few weeks. Libra is also ruled by Venus, the planet of love, beauty, aesthetic and money. So it’s likely you saw one (or all of) those areas highlighted recently. It is also the second eclipse in the Aries-Libra axis series (the first was on April 20, 2023). So, themes that appeared around that eclipse are sure to resurface. The impacts of eclipses are different for each of us. But, this one showed you exactly what you’ve either been avoiding or have been sensing coming into your life. And because it was the first of two, it’s just the catalyst for your new beginnings.

The Libra eclipse got the winds of change moving.
The weeks in between gave us a moment to catch our breath.
Now, the Taurus eclipse is here to ground us into our new reality.

The eclipse on October 28th will be in the steady, grounding and pleasure-filled sign of Taurus. We can expect topics around money, love, sources of joy and embodiment to take the spotlight as we close out the Taurus-Scorpio eclipse series for the next two decades. That’s right, there won’t be another Taurus-Scorpio eclipse for quite some time. Cycles that have been swirling around since the first eclipse on this axis on November 19, 2021 will finally be coming to a close…if you let them.

The aftermath of these eclipses will require a serious amount of grounding and processing. But one thing at a time, let’s get through this last eclipse first!

What Do I Do?

Remember eclipses are known for affecting us on every level– including physically. So hydrate, stretch, move, rest, give yourself grace and trust that all that is for you will never, ever miss you!
