Ace of Cups in reverse

In the upright or reversed, The Ace of Cups is about giving and receiving abundantly. (I mean, it’s an overflowing cup for a reason.) But on the reverse, the water flowing out of the cup shows that you’ve probably been giving to others without caring for yourself. It’s time to give yourself the same love you’ve been dishing out! Trust me, I know how hard it can be to prioritize yourself when you’ve been Mr./Ms./Mx. Fix-It for so long. But the best way to care for others is to take care of ourselves first! You are more than worthy of receiving that grace, attention and love you so freely give to others. A heart like yours? That’s the rare kind and the world needs you to take care of it!

Journal Prompt:

Consider the areas of your life you give most of your time and energy to. Separate those areas and obligations into “necessary” and “secondary”. What would happen if you pulled back your energy from the secondary obligations? Would everyone be alright? Would a job go undone? Or would everything be a-okay? How would you feel with that task off of your plate?

The Moon

Much like the moon that finds us every evening, The Moon tarot card is here to illuminate the shadows. You’re likely being presented with a chance to lay all lingering doubts, repressed emotions, and illusions to rest. In order to progress in life, we have to heal wounds and fears by shining a light on even the darkest corners of our hearts. Sure, this reveal can seem daunting at first. But I’m willing to bet that you wouldn’t be faced with the chance to confront these shadows if you weren’t capable of coming out on the other side brighter, stronger and closer to the joy that is meant for yours. You’ve already come so far! You owe it to yourself to see just how sweet this life can get– keep going!

Journal Prompt:

When did your current fears, buried emotions or hesitations form? Are they still worth holding onto? Now consider what would happen if you released them. What would happen if you expressed the emotions you’ve been burying or persisted in spite of the fear?
