Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Tarot and The Poetry Lover

Dating all the way back to the mid-15th century, the Tarot is a deck of 78 playing cards mostly used to help gain insight into the past, present or future. Yet, I find that every time I’ve done readings, they simply help me clarify what I already felt within. At the end of the day, we create our own reality. While cards are a fun way to reaffirm what our intuition already knows to be true, the power to create change will always lie in our own hands. A little help from these fun, colorful cards doesn’t hurt either. So if you’re in search of a little extra clarity today, allow one of these cards to help you read or journal your way through the unknown! Ahead, tarot and poetry picks paired specifically to guide you through your journey.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath.

Connect with yourself.

Open your eyes.

Pick the card that you feel most drawn to and read ahead to see what it wants to tell you!

The World

This powerful card is one of my favorites– the world! This gorgeous card is here to tell you, “YOU DID IT!” Whatever you have been working on has reached a glorious stage of completion or soon will. If you’re in the middle of a project, keep pushing through. This is a sign that every effort you’ve made is or will soon be paying off. It could also symbolize fun travel ahead. Whether you’ve made it to the finish line or see it just on the horizon, the world card encourages you to take a moment to celebrate just how far you have come!

Journal Prompt:

Identify what it is in your life that you’re being asked to celebrate! What obstacles did you have to learn in order to reach this accomplishment? What did you learn along the way? How does this win feel?

4 of Pentacles in The Reverse

The Four of Pentacles in the reverse can symbolize re-evaluating the world around you and what is truly important to you. If you’ve been focusing too much on material wealth and possessions, this card is a sign to shift your focus towards the wealth of love and abundance that already surrounds you rather than matters of the physical world. Showing appreciation for the blessings that currently surround you is a quick way to increase your positive thinking while showing the world you see the love and are ready to welcome more joy!

Journal Prompt:

List ten people or things you’re grateful for. Do you currently show your appreciation for them? If so, how? If not, what are some ways you could begin to display gratitude?
