She never saw it coming…literally!

Hello Stranger by Katherine Center Book Review

Instead of celebrating the biggest achievement of her professional life, Sadie Montgomery is in a hospital bed. She’s been diagnosed with a “probably temporary” condition known as face blindness, and no one’s face or features make SENSE. As she tries to cope with her new reality while dealing with big-time family issues, Sadie finds herself falling into a “probably temporary” obsession during the worst possible time. She falls into lust with two very different men, and the timing literally could not be any worse. Let’s explore more of Sadie’s life within this Hello Stranger by Katherine Center review.

There are many ways of seeing!

As a big fan of Katherine Center’s novels, I was sooo excited to dive into this one. There was no disappointed! In addition to featuring a little-known medical issue like face blindness, this book is full of spot-on observations about our lives, our careers, and our relationships. It’s easy to like Sadie, and watching her try to navigate the world, and her career as a portrait artist, as she struggles to deal with the challenges that come with face blindness. The romance, a love triangle, with a twist was not necessarily relatable for most readers, but it was authentic and well done.

Can Sadie truly get her life into focus?

Sadie’s family relationships and the resulting drama is a bit overdone, but ultimately authentic and heartwarming. And who can’t relate to family drama? This book follows Sadie through her grief at her new reality and her acceptance of her situation, as well as her attempts to get out from under her late mother’s shadow. You will want to stand up and cheer for her! If you like Emily Henry or the author’s The Bodyguard, you’ll love Hello Stranger.

Hello Stranger by Katherine Center Reviews:

“With its emphasis on its central character, combined with its “swoony” romance, “Hello Stranger” is a hit. Sadie is everything you could want in a protagonist — the right amount of quirky, sunshiney and stubborn, and the men she’s in love with are equally fascinating. All the side characters provide humor and comfort, and even those characters who you aren’t reallysupposed to like are annoyingly intriguing and captivating. Center created a brilliant cast of characters, set to a plot that’s sure to keep you reading.” – Michigan Daily

“My perfect 10 of a book” New York Times Bestselling Author, Emily Henry

“speedy pacing and sexual tension for miles” – People Magazine
