I absolutely loved this book. It is certainly spicy and sexy, but I really appreciated that Bea was a fleshed-out character with her own life and concerns outside of romance. Bea’s relationship with herself was just as important to the narrative as her unfolding relationship with Austin, and the story is more nuanced than many romance reads.
The characters are imperfect and bad things happen, which is a refreshing change from books where everything just turns out well for everyone involved. This is a must-read for contemporary romance fans looking for a meatier plotline.
