Reading Time: 2 minutes

A month filled with family, food and fun, December gives us endless reasons to celebrate.

What’s better than cookies AND poems?

Sure you’ve heard of the popular holidays in December, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year’s Eve. But I bet there’s one you didn’t know about yet. National Cookie Baking Day! Okay, maybe it’s not your typical, Hallmark-loved holiday. But if you ask me, it definitely deserves more recognition! A day filled with fun desserts inspired by your favorite holiday flavors would make even The Grinch himself twist his lips into a satisfied smile! Yet, as always, we have a way to make this day a little sweeter.

After baking your favorite cookies with loved ones or maybe experimenting with a new recipe, pick a flavor of poetry to indulge in! Solo or shared, poetry brings up all the feelings that come with this time of year. So, grab a plate of your most-loved holiday cookies and pick a poem sure to compliment the flavors you love so much during this chilly time of year!
