will heaven accept me like it does dogs?
my hunger is controlling every sin i make;
eating the desires I have chosen.
the bite foaming on the chances I had left.
will heaven accept me like it does dogs?
or will I whimper in the dirt?
the bones of my secrets whispering to be dug up.
chewed up.
worms and ticks covering every inch of my body.
I will make a final cry to the moon.
asking will heaven accept me like it does dogs?

Desire
-to wish or long for.
I use to desire acceptance because for so long I felt out of place,
Kind of like an unruly, grey hair waving at anyone who could see,
I desired to be anything more than what people thought of me,
More than average, more than someone you walked passed at the store and barely even noticed,
I wanted to be the focus for just a little while,
The reason someone smiled, the reason someone fell in love, or had hope in humanity,
I desired to be accepted for my weirdness, my curiosity, my awkwardness, and my flaws,
I desired to break down walls of what the standard of beauty was shown to be,
I desired to be seen, but also heard, like how children intensely listen during story time,
I desired to be the rhythm in rhymes, the words people so often can’t find, but now I desire to be nothing more than what I was meant to be,
Because everything that makes me who I am, has always been enough for me
