A Rom-Com with a splash of depth and British swooner

My Oxford Year
Reading Time: < 1 minute

I read only one review for My Oxford Year that wasn’t entirely glowing. I’m not sure how that reviewer shows their face at the Book Reviewer Pub or wherever reviewers hang out because My Oxford Year is perfect.  Ella Durran has dreamed of going to Oxford University since she read an article about it in Seventeen magazine at age 13.

Her aspirations come true when she earns a Rhodes Scholarship and finds herself on the campus of her dreams.  Ella is an up-and-coming political consultant who surprises everyone by choosing to study Victorian literature while at Oxford, putting her directly in the path of “posh prat” Professor Jamie Davenport. Ella hates Jamie on sight, so obviously, she will fall for him, and so will you; Jamie is Joe Alwyn, and Jack Lowden and every other British swooner with an unruly lock of hair on his forehead.

My Oxford Year would be merely a fun rom-com if not for the depth of the story that will unfold about Jamie and the way it will change everything Ella thinks she believes in.
